Piña Campadre
A bitter riff on the tropical classic. Ditch the Malibu and instead round this one out with a pour of Campari, the bitter Italian aperitif. Perfect for a hot afternoon on the pool deck.

To my knowledge I came up with this one myself when my perpetual quest to find every possible good use of amaro kicked in while riffing on a round of piña coladas at home one evening. I know it is a good drink because a bartender at a pool bar in Cabo seemed honestly excited and approving when I asked to add a shot of Campari to my piña colada.
History
Dreamt up in Seattle, WA in early 2025. Enjoyed at a pool bar in Cabo San Lucas, MX shortly thereafter, now shared with the internet here. Go forth to have more in new places—cheers!
